Is AllForStudents free?

Yes. Searching, saving favourites, messaging and posting roommate, sublet and marketplace ads is free for students.

Why isn’t my listing visible yet?

Every new listing — and every important edit — is reviewed by our team before it goes live, usually within one working day. You will get a notification as soon as it is approved.

What is a sublet or lease takeover?

A sublet is when a tenant rents out their room for part of their contract (for example while on exchange). A lease takeover is when a new tenant takes over the remaining contract. Always check that the landlord allows it.

What is a directory listing?

Directory listings are well-known accommodation providers we have added to help you compare options. They link to the provider’s official website. Providers can claim their listing to add photos and prices.

How do I find a roommate?

Browse roommate ads in your city, or post your own: say whether you already have a place or are looking for one, your budget, move-in date and what you are like to live with.

How do I report a suspicious listing?

Use the Report button on the listing or profile. Our team reviews every report.
